Since first opening our doors in 2001, The Mulberry Centre has grown into one of the leading independent cancer support charities in West London — but our purpose has never changed.
Our core mission is to improve the lives of anyone affected by cancer — whether you've been diagnosed, you're a carer or family member, or you're bereaved — by enhancing emotional, psychological and physical wellbeing.
We're based at West Middlesex University Hospital in Isleworth, but you don't need a referral, an appointment, or a connection to the hospital. Just walk in, call, or email — we'll take it from there.
The most honest thing we can show you is the people we've supported telling you what it meant to them.
For many of the people who come through our doors, the first visit is the hardest one. Jo's story is a reminder of why what we do matters — not just the formal counselling and the therapies, but the cup of tea, the warm welcome, and the people who genuinely understand.
They didn't try to fix me. They just listened, and let me know I wasn't on my own. That changed everything. — Jo, on her first weeks at the Mulberry Centre
We're privileged to share stories like Jo's with permission. If you're considering coming in, please remember — you don't need a referral or a reason. Just call us or walk through the door.
Six values our team carry into every session, conversation and cup of tea served at the centre.
We welcome anyone affected by cancer, irrespective of who they are, where they're from, or how they identify.
Every person is different. We tailor our support to your individual needs, not the other way around.
We act in a gentle and compassionate manner — out of genuine concern, never out of duty.
We have a real optimism that what we do will improve people's wellbeing — even on the hardest days.
Our team collaborates to deliver a professional service in which people can have full confidence.
Of our service users, of one another, and of the courage it takes to ask for help in the first place.
Everything we do is funded by people who care. Whether you can give time, money, or fundraise — every contribution keeps our doors open.
